about

I'm still very proud of this album as a whole, warts and all. The album is about a man in a coma, and the dreams he has trying to decide if he wants to live or die. At the time I had planned a crudely animated film to go along with it (since I wasn't really capable of much more), but that never happened. The samples in this (and every other place I use samples) are chosen for their significance, or because I think they sounded neat and the idea was to not be sure which is which. I want this (and most of my work) to be as open for interpretation as possible. To the listeners, my narrative isn't as important to communicate as much as there IS a narrative. I want you to tell your own story. In this album in particular, however, the samples are meant to be representative of memories of the world the character is detatched from. This album is mostly my Epiphone SG and a Prophet 600 synth.
