about

the first of way too many concept albums, where the entire thing forms a narrative structure. I like this, though the lo-fi recording at the time (and my compositional immaturity) lead me to think that this (and Fever Dreams) could be rewritten and re-recorded better at some point. This is also the first album that I put no thought into how I would perform it live...just make the music for it's own sake. Of course, since then I HAVE done it live...one show I played the entire album, which was tricky as a solo performer. An audience member broke out into tears, which is the best reaction I could hope for. The album is about coming home, hating the world, and gradually finding the strength to go out again the next day.
