about

The sounds were all created with a television set. A pretty obvious piece, but it was my second album after all. The manipulations on the sound were arranged by an interpretation of a melodic piece I wrote on guitar. Each note corresponded to a different process that I filtered the television noise through. There was another piece I recorded around the same time, that interpreted notes as channel changes; each pitch a different channel and each change happened according to the rhythm of the melody. It was a better piece; very collage-ish, and fit the surrealism I was going for. Can't recall why this ended up on the album instead of that one.
